Well, to my surprise my mother has three Native American alleles, whereas I have none with Ancestry and five with 23andme!

I know my mother and I have some minor Siberian/Amerindian-type input, but I thought it was most likely Sami due to many of our DNA relatives being Sami from Norway. We have no known record of any of our ancestors being American of any ethnicity. Yet my mother matches with some people who are, functionally, full-blooded Native Americans (10% or less non-Amerindian/Siberian ancestry).

I guess I'm a full-blooded member of the Wannabee tribe now!

Does someone knows from which tribes arrive this mutation: rs78401947CT ?

It's unlikely you'll be able to tell as so many Amerindian populations share the same distinctive markers. I'm unaware of any tribal/subethnic ancestry informative SNPs.

Thanks, I imagine that it is the same with the Asian ancestry, right?

Hi! :) these are my results, as you can see I'm mexican so the score is high :D

Number of SNPs (genetic markers) that we looked for: 2,581
Number of SNPs found and analysed: 80
80

Number of alleles analysed: 160
Your result is : Native American alleles out of 160
39

I don’t think I can possibly have any Native American ancestry?
I am supposed to have a Native ancestor and I had that same as you showed and 4 out of about 170. I have heard also people with Germanic or Eastern European can get false Native positive due to the East Asian influences. I have German as well, makes it hard to tell.

My husband is Mexican, his original test on MyHeritage showed him like 46% Central American and a percent North American.... on this he gets lower than what you show, maybe not testing all the same areas:

Number of SNPs (genetic markers) that we looked for: 2,581
Number of SNPs found and analysed: 39
39

Number of alleles analysed: 78
Your result is :
Native American alleles out of 78
